Our Firm

Barry A. Diamond, Esquire, is the founder of our Firm. Born in Long Beach, New York, he moved to Broward County, Florida in 1973 where he graduated from Coconut Creek High School. While there, he attained National Honor Society status and was a member of both marching and symphonic bands for all four years, which led to a lifelong love for music.

Barry graduated the University of Florida in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, attained Dean’s List status, was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity and elected Treasurer on its behalf for two years, as well as being a dedicated employee throughout college, including its Business Administration Library, eventually becoming head librarian there. Creating such strong bonds to the school and the many people he met while attending there, some of which have become his life-long friends, he still makes numerous trips to the University of Florida for various sporting games and events.

Barry then went on to graduate from Nova University Center for the Study of Law in 1984, attaining both Dean’s List and National Dean’s List status, and obtaining the Book Award in Foreign Tax. After he completed his studies at Nova University, he became a member of both Who’s Who Among American Law Students and Outstanding Young Men of America.

Barry started his professional career as a Staff Attorney, Accountant and Financial Planner for Financial & Investment Planning, Inc. in North Miami Beach, Florida. This then led to his long-term position as an Associate Attorney at Joel R. Lavender, P.A. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in November, 1985, practicing in the areas of estate planning, probate, corporate, and real estate. He became a partner there in 1989, at which time the Firm name changed to Lavender & Diamond, P.A.

In 1993, Barry started his own law practice as the Law Offices of Barry A. Diamond, P.A., in Tamarac, Florida in the same above-stated practice areas, eventually moving to Coral Springs, Florida in 1997. He has now served the Greater Coral Springs area for more than 23 years, attaining a Martindale-Hubbell Distinguished Rating, and has many Clients throughout the State of Florida who have been with him longer. Barry is dedicated to his family, friends, and our Firm, but he still made time to be a Member of Board of Directors for Cameras for Kids Foundation, Inc, which assists underprivileged kids overcome their various obstacles through the use of photography. While practicing law is Barry’s passion, his family still comes first, committing much of his free time to coach many of his kids’ sports teams throughout the years, not only providing them with his vast sports knowledge, but also instilling in them similar philosophies of dedication and teamwork that are the foundation of our Firm.
